| Description: | The assay mixture contained 40 µL of buffer (0.01 M LiCl2, 1 mM EDTA, 0.01M K2HPO4, pH 8.2) containing 100 mM urea, 10 µL of enzyme (5U/mL) and 10 µL of the test compound. The assay mixture was incubated at 37 °C for 10 min in a 96-well plate, followed by the addition of 40 µL of alkali reagents (0.5 %, w/v NaOH, 0.1% active chloride NaOCl) and 40 µL of the phenol reagents (1%, w/v phenol, 0.005%, w/v sodium nitroprusside) to each well. The absorbance was measured at 625 nm. |
