| Description: | The cholinesterase assays were performed using colorimetric method reported by Ellman. Enzyme activity was determined by measuring the absorbance at 414 nm. Data from concentration-inhibition experiments of the inhibitors were calculated by non-linear regression analysis to give estimates of the IC50 (concentration of drug producing 50% of enzyme activity inhibition). Results are expressed as mean +/- S.E.M. of at least 4 experiments performed in triplicate. |
