| Description: | The C-terminal his-tagged AdoMetDC was assayed by measuring the release of 14CO2 from S-adenosyl-L-[carboxy-14C]methionine (Amersham Pharmacia Biotech). For determination of the abilities of compounds to inhibit AdoMetDC, the enzyme activity was determined in the presence of no inhibitor and at least five concentrations of each potential inhibitor. The IC50 values were determined from curve fitting to plots of the inhibitor concentration versus the % inhibition of AdoMetDC. |
