| Description: | The ability of the tested compounds to inhibit both COX-1 and COX-2 isozymes was measured using colorimetric COX (ovine) Inhibitor Screening Assay Kit (Kit catalog number 760111, Cayman Chemical, Ann Arbor, MI, USA) following the manufacturer's instructions and as mentioned before. Different concentrationsof celecoxib or tested compounds were incubated with the enzymes for a period of 5 min at 25 °C. After the incubation period an addition of the colorimetric substrate and arachidonic acid was done then the absorbance was measured at 590 nm using plate reader. |
