| Description: | Botox A catalyzed the hydrolysis of substrate peptide between residues 11 (glutamine) and 12 (arginine), corresponding to residues 197 and 198 of SNAP-25. Substrate hydrolysis is determined by HPLC separation of the products from the substrate, followed by measurement of the peak areas. Percent inhibition measurements were performed in duplicate, and in all cases standard deviations were less than +/-25%. IC50 values for the inhibitors were calculated from plots of concentration versus inhibition using 7-9 concentrations of inhibitors. |
