| Description: | PTP assay were conducted at 25 C in 96-well plates. Reaction rates were determined using a Variokan plate reader from Thermo Electron. For assay pH 7.0 absorbance was measured every 30s over 10 min and the reaction rates were calculated by linear regression. Because the p-nitrophenol product does not absorb at pH 6.0. |
