| Description: | Functional measurements were performed using perforated patch whole cell recordings coupled with a two-barrel drug application system [Liu et al., J. Neurosci., 29:918-929]. After the formation of whole cell configuration, an access resistance less than 30 MΩ was acceptable for voltage-clamp recordings. The series resistance was not compensated in the experiments using dissociated neurons. The data were filtered at 2 kHz, acquired at 11 kHz, and digitized on-line (Digidata 1322 series A/D board; Axon Instruments, Foster City, CA). All experiments were done at room temperature (22 ± 1 °C). |
